Drinks
- Named wines — a glass or a bottle
- Mismatch tap beer —
Prices include GST; many venues add a 10–15% surcharge on Sundays and public holidays.
US dollar amounts are a mid-market estimate as of 2026-10-28, not the venue's price. The venue charges Australian dollars.
The room opens at 4 on Friday, so the hour starts at open. Sunday jazz, 5 to 8, is a different listing and has no drink price on this page. GST is included.
Deal last verified 2026-10-28. Confirmed on the venue’s own website.
Worth knowing in Adelaide
Adelaide’s printed hour is a wine-bar hour. A pub schooner list is a different thing, and it is not what this first wave kept.
The rule
South Australia allows a posted drink discount. A promotion that pushes people to drink too fast, and a gendered discount, are not allowed. GST is in the price. You must be 18. See the Australia page.
The custom
Leigh Street does an aperitivo, Monday to Friday, 4 to 6, with champagne, house wine, a spritz and a draught. The East End does a Friday clock-off, 4 to 6, with named wines at $10 and tap beer at $9. A hotel pub that only prints a pint price stayed off this pass.
Using the Atlas here
Every Adelaide card in this first wave was read on the venue’s own site in October 2026. A line at $10 or $15 is one glass at that price. A schooner and a pint, printed as two numbers, are two glass sizes.
Across Australia
Australian happy hour is legal and ordinary, and it is not a free-for-all. New South Wales and Victoria both tell licensees that a discount must not be built to make people drink fast. The price on the menu already includes GST.
The vibe
An East End wine bar on Vardon Avenue, with a Friday 4-to-6 on named bottles and three tap beers.
