How happy hour works in Denver
Colorado allows the discount. The local version is early, food-heavy, and built around a patio that disappears in a hailstorm.
United States rules and habits →
The rule
Colorado permits happy-hour pricing. Last call is 2 a.m. No statewide cap on the length of a discount.
The custom
LoDo, RiNo, and Capitol Hill each do 3-to-6. The deal is often a burger or a green-chile plate as much as the drink, because people treat the hour as dinner. Breweries may not discount the way a hotel bar does; a taproom “happy hour” can be a food truck outside and full-price beer. Altitude makes the second drink faster than the menu suggests. Not a legal rule. Still true.
