The rule
Nevada permits happy-hour pricing. Many casino licences can serve 24 hours. A downtown or off-Strip bar may still close. The venue’s own hours are the only reliable close.
The custom
A Strip happy hour is often a hotel-bar or restaurant window, 3 to 5 or 4 to 6, before the room turns into the evening. It is a real discount and a different product from a casino comp, which is not a public menu. Chinatown and the Arts District run neighborhood hours for people who live here. A “free drink while you play” is not a happy hour and will not appear as one. Do not read a Strip cocktail price as if it were a Summerlin neighborhood price.
