HAPPY HOUR ATLAS

LOCAL CUSTOMS · ORLANDO

How happy hour works in Orlando

Two happy hours share a city: the neighborhood one, and the hotel one built for people who are not from here.

The rule

Florida allows drink discounts without a statewide clock. Last call is generally 2 a.m.

The custom

Winter Park, Mills 50, and Ivanhoe are where residents actually go at 5. International Drive and the resort hotels run a parallel list aimed at visitors, often inside a hotel that can feel sealed off from the city. A “resort happy hour” can be a shorter, more expensive version of the same legal idea. Do not treat them as one scene.
