How happy hour works in São Paulo
São Paulo’s happy hour is the end of the workday. The card is the place that prints a window and a price, which is a shorter list than the habit.
The rule
Brazil allows a posted drink discount. There is no statutory happy-hour clock. You must be 18. A 10% service charge is a tip, and it is optional. If you drive, Lei Seca is zero tolerance. See the Brazil page.
The custom
The windows people mean run from about 5 to 8, in Pinheiros, Vila Madalena, Itaim, Jardins and Morumbi. Most of those rooms never print the price on their own site. Morumbi’s published hour is Bar Fogo at Fogo de Chão, Monday to Friday, 5 to 8, portions from R$21. The chain’s promotions page also lists a caipirinha rodízio at R$59 from 5 p.m. at its São Paulo locations, without a closing time, so that package stays in the note.
Using the Atlas here
The São Paulo card in this first wave was read on the restaurant’s own site in October 2026. “From R$21” is the floor of the portion list, not one plate at that price, and it is not a drink. A sports bar, a party boteco, a casual chain, and a price that lives only in a magazine were left off.
