HAPPY HOUR GUIDE

Ottawa

5 happy hours across 3 areas — cocktails, wine, raw bars and bites at Ottawa's best restaurants and bars, with confirmed days and times.

Worth knowing in Ottawa

Ottawa prints the hour the way Toronto does. The rooms on this list put the clock and the price on their own site.

The rule

Ontario allows a posted drink discount above a low minimum, and every patron pays the same price. You must be 19. The menu price is before 13% HST and before tip. See the Canada page.

The custom

ByWard Market does a 3-to-6 or a 4:30-to-6, often oysters and a short cocktail list, and some rooms repeat it after 10. Sparks Street does a midweek food hour. The Glebe does a weekday 4-to-6. A page that names the hour and leaves the price off is not on this card.

Using the Atlas here

Every Ottawa card in this first wave was read on the venue’s own site in October 2026. A line at $6 or $12 is one drink at that price. Oysters at $2 or $3 are each. Half price is the discount the page prints. Holiday blackouts are in the note.

Across Canada

Canadian happy hour is the same shape as the American one — a posted afternoon window — with provincial minimum prices underneath it and a tax line that does not match the US bill.
