The happy hour

Food

  • Premium oysters — half dozen or dozen
  • Superior oysters — half dozen or dozen
  • Sliders —
  • Fries or yam fries —
  • Chips and guacamole —
  • Chicken wings —
  • Half-sized nachos —

US dollar amounts are a mid-market estimate as of 2026-10-28, not the venue's price. The venue charges Canadian dollars.

The happy-hour block prices the food and does not price the drinks. The regular oyster price on the same page is a half dozen and a dozen, so the happy-hour oysters are half of that. Prices are before tax and tip.

Deal last verified 2026-10-28. Confirmed on the venue’s own website.

Worth knowing in Victoria

Victoria prints an oyster hour the way Vancouver does, with a clock and a price on the venue's own page.

The rule

British Columbia allows a posted drink discount above a low minimum. A 2-for-1 drink is not allowed, so it is not on these cards. You must be 19. The menu price is before 5% GST and 7% PST, and before tip. See the Canada page.

The custom

Downtown does a long oyster window, 2 or 3 until 5 or 6, and one room repeats the food list after 9. A hotel bar on Burdett does 3:30 to 6. A page that names the hour and leaves the price off is not on this card.

Using the Atlas here

Every Victoria card in this first wave was read on the venue's own site in October 2026. A half dozen at $15 or $12 is that plate, not one oyster. Half price at The Commons is the dollar amount the page also prints.

Across Canada

Canadian happy hour is the same shape as the American one — a posted afternoon window — with provincial minimum prices underneath it and a tax line that does not match the US bill.
