HAPPY HOUR GUIDE
Seoul
4 happy hours across 3 areas — cocktails, wine, raw bars and bites at Seoul's best restaurants and bars, with confirmed days and times.
Worth knowing in Seoul
Seoul’s happy hour is a hotel-bar hour. The hof next door is one price all night, and that is a different thing.
The rule
South Korea allows a posted drink discount. There is no statutory happy-hour clock. You must be 19. VAT is 10% and is usually inside the menu price. A service charge is a hotel’s choice, not a legal add-on. See the South Korea page for why an unlimited-drinks set is a package.
The custom
The windows that hotels actually print cluster from about 5 to 8. Gangnam’s is the Park Hyatt whisky bar, Monday to Saturday, 5 to 7, at half off the drinks on the Groove Hour list. Myeongdong’s is the Royal Hotel’s top-floor lounge, open to people who are not staying, wine and beer and snacks for one price until 7:30. Mapo’s is two rooms at Hotel Naru on the Han River: a two-hour free-flow at Bar Voisin, and a wine package for two on the Lounge & Deck. A club lounge that comes only with the room, and a promotion that names an end date, are a different product.
Using the Atlas here
Every Seoul card in this first wave was read on the venue’s own site in October 2026. A line that says KRW 55,000 or KRW 120,000 for two is the package, not one glass at that price. Half off at the Timber House is the drink discount the page prints. Neighborhood bars without a clock are not missing by accident.
Across South Korea
South Korea allows a posted drink discount. In Seoul the window that gets printed lives in hotel bars. A neighborhood hof has a price, not a clock.
